Terms of Use, Disclaimer & Release of Liability

Version 2026-11-06 · Applies to FitLab at fitlab.icu

In short: FitLab is a free, experimental tool that gives estimates from a video. It is not a professional bike fit and not medical advice. You make any changes to your bike and riding at your own risk, and by using FitLab you agree that its creator is not liable for any injury, damage or loss that results.

1. Not a professional bike fit

FitLab uses automated pose estimation on a 2D video to estimate joint angles and suggest bike adjustments. These numbers are approximate and can be wrong because of camera angle, lens distortion, lighting, clothing, tracking errors and the limits of video analysis. FitLab does not replace an in-person fitting by a qualified bike fitter, who can assess your flexibility, injury history, anatomy, cleats, saddle and equipment in ways a video cannot.

2. Not medical advice

Nothing in FitLab is medical, physiotherapy or health advice. If you have pain, numbness, an injury or a medical condition, or if a change makes anything worse, stop riding and consult a doctor, physiotherapist or professional fitter. Do not ignore or delay professional advice because of anything FitLab shows you.

3. You are responsible for your bike and how you ride

4. Assumption of risk and release of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you use FitLab entirely at your own risk. You voluntarily assume all risks connected with using it and with any change you make to your bike, position or riding because of it. You release, waive and discharge FitLab's creator and operator, and anyone acting for them, from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses and costs of any kind, including personal injury, illness, death, property damage, equipment damage and lost income, arising from or connected with your use of FitLab or reliance on its output, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

You agree not to bring any claim against them for these matters, and to indemnify them against claims brought by others that arise from your use of FitLab.

5. No warranty

FitLab is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, availability or freedom from errors. The service is a free beta and may change, stop working or be withdrawn at any time.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FitLab's creator and operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, FitLab. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use FitLab, which is zero.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Privacy

8. Eligibility

You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission and supervision, to use FitLab.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated. The version date above shows the current version. If you keep using FitLab after a change, you accept the updated terms.

By ticking “I agree” when you sign up, or by using FitLab, you confirm you have read and accept these terms.
